What is Partitioning Shapes?
Partitioning means dividing a shape into equal parts. When we partition, each part must be the same size. This helps us understand fractions and fair sharing!

- Halves: 2 equal parts (also called "half of")
- Fourths: 4 equal parts (also called "quarters" or "fourth of")
- Equal shares: Parts that are exactly the same size
