Introduction to Comparing Populations

Comparative inferences allow us to draw conclusions about differences between two populations by analyzing samples from each group. We use both measures of center and variability together.

To make valid comparisons, we examine both the typical values (center) and the spread (variability) of each population to understand how they differ and what that means in context.

This integrated approach gives us a complete picture of how two populations differ, helping us make informed decisions and meaningful conclusions.
